Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading news and media organisations on a portfolio of award-winning, global, consumer-facing websites and products.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Senior Project Manager will be a key member of a vibrant agile development team looking to turn great ideas into engaging digital products while maintaining and improving existing codebases.

The Digital Product team in GNL is responsible for several of the BBC’s international products including but not limited to:

Role Responsibility

Work directly with your peer group, such as technical discipline leads and product managers to coordinate the delivery of the digital roadmap.
Ensure awareness, involvement and support from key stakeholders by leading the project planning process, building strong project teams and maintaining robust communications on the project status throughout its lifecycle.
Ensure internal and external dependencies, risks and issues are identified, managed closely and blockers removed from the team.
Are you the right candidate?

Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within an agile software development environment delivering digital products.
Ability to articulate or translate complex information through clear and meaningful written and spoken communication in a structured way.
Ability to develop working relationships within a multidisciplinary development team.
Proven skills to lead project teams and motivate others to achieve objectives.
Ideally Have:

Relevant Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional.
Highly adaptable and ability to approach things differently in order to achieve goals.
