About The Role :
We are seeking a full time Ward Manager for Banksy, our CAMHS PICU Ward here at the Bristol Priory Hospital.
You will be managing a Ward of up to 12 beds, supporting and managing staff in order to meet the psychological and therapeutic needs of a highly challenging group of service users with varying degrees of mental and physical issues. You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with people. It is also important that you work well in a team, and are keen to work in fast paced environment and are able to report effectively to Senior Management.
The Banksy Ward at the Bristol Priory Hospital is a specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Intensive Care Unit (CAMHS PICU) providing assessment, care and treatment for young people who have complex mental health problems. The Unit offers in-patient care alongside a therapeutic day programme and provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people to work through sometimes extreme mental health, emotional and psychological difficulties.

As the Ward Manager on Banksy Ward, you will manage a great team, alongside experienced practitioners, using essential medical, clinical and staff and patient management skills, whilst also having the opportunity to influence the progression of the Ward.
Previous experience of working with young people is essential and candidates must have a genuine interest in working with this client group within an inpatient setting. Candidates should also have the necessary interpersonal qualities to enable them to function effectively as part of a big multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should have a high level of commitment and creativity, resilience and robustness, positivity and personal warmth, as well motivation and excellent team-working skills.
